Dear Church Family,
Jesus makes a statement in Mark 10:27 that has always been encouraging to me. He says, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God!” Jesus has just finished telling his disciples that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God. They respond much like we would by saying, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus responds with this encouraging statement about all things being possible with God. So, the encouraging word for today is that all things are possible with God. I’m doomed for failure when I try to live without God, but the possibilities are limitless when I include God. So, what impossible situation would you like help with today? He is only a prayer away. All things are possible with God!
P.S. I hope you are making plans to join us this Sunday for the unveiling of the “New” sanctuary. It looks fabulous! The Renovation Committee is to be commended for the wonderful job they have done in creating a worship space that is both beautiful and functional. The Committee members are; Rick Dentt, Judy Sizemore, Karen Plunk, Barbie Stieglitz, and Jackie Meader. I list their names so that you can thank and congratulate them on a job well-done. If there is something you don’t like blame me, but be sure to compliment and thank the committee for all of their hard work. I looked back in my notes and we started this process almost five years ago. They have worked so hard and I’m very thankful for their efforts. I am also very excited for you to see it. Please plan to attend as we rejoice over all that the Lord has done. I also invite anyone that would like to come and join me Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. to pray over the new sanctuary and dedicate it to God before we have our first worship services in it on Sunday. Please join me for this time of prayer if it fits into your schedule.
